Fun to be Tourists on a beautiful day

We said our goodbyes and good health to Hugh and his helper Andrew as they rode off on bike (uphill) to install track signage on a new trail, and headed out to be tourists on the Crater Rim Tourist Drive.  The drive takes us up on the rim of the extinct volcano that surrounds Akaroa and the bays and back to Little River where we started on Monday.  The day was clear and sunny and we were thankful for the chance to have beautiful views.  We stopped at Okains Bay at the Maori Museum and to have lunch at the beach there, and again to see a giant Totara before a late afternoon tea time and home to Lincoln for a good night's rest. Pō mārie tamariki ma, Meryl
Hugh all set with signage to install on a new track.

Beautiful light in the mid to late afternoon makes everything glow - sheep and Grace's lovely locks included.
